Historical Ramblings

Back again...

Historical Ramblings has returned. My former host, Jiffynet (Jiffynet.net) lost all of my files and was unable to restore the MySql database driving this site. They have yet to provide an acceptable reason for this, and, therefore, I have switched this site to a new host.

A couple of new additions to the site, as well, come with the transition:

- a dedicated 'blog' e-mail address to reach me with: blog@urbanthought.com
- a new site design (let me know your thoughts) which it still under construction
- the possibility of hosting other sites with their own domains.

The new host I'm with has a "reseller" package whereby you can split 3 gigs of space and 30 gigs of monthly bandwidth among up to 100 different, unique domains. I'm trying to get enough people together to get one of these packages and reduce our expenses, especially given that the storage space required for blogs is minimal. And, as is obvious, the host supports MovableType which is enough reason to switch over. If anyone is interested in joining in on this proposition, please send me an e-mail.
